I finally took the plunge and signed up for a flickr Pro account today. I don’t know why I put off purchasing a Pro account for so long since I know I’ve needed it. I’ll be uploading a ton of photos now so visit often and get a flickr account of your own if you don’t already have one.

I’m spending the evening, oops it’s morning now, listening to Global Underground’s Synchronised. Buy it. You’ll like it. Or buy it for a friend. Friends like gifts too. :)

iPod Overlay

Hardware, Personal No Comments »

I bought my second macally Clear Protective Overlay today to shield my 80GB iPod’s delicate surface from the abuse in takes whilst penetrating my pocket as well as the many various surface landings it encounters. I’ve used other cases and protective agents but I just hate the added bulk that comes along with using them since the iPod’s form factor is perfect the way it is and I don’t want to mess with perfection… Of course, I’d prefer to be able to use my iPod without any protection since their’s so much more digital feedback involved in the whole experience. ahem. I recommend this overlay to anyone with a Big iPod. Milage may very.

I’m planning on porting my site over to Mephisto which runs on Rails. I’ll be using my current mediatemple (gs), gridserver, for hosting of course and I found a great tutorial for integrating mediatemple (gs) hosting, using their ruby containers, with Mephisto over at Softamade as well as a great tutorial on Running Mephisto on OSX.

A friend of mine introduced me to Esquivel some years ago, aprox 1996. If you don’t know of Juan Garcia Esquivel and his spaceage-pop you should try it. You’ll like it.
