term> defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

*change YES to NO if you want to hide them.

Restart or force quit finder to see all your hidden files and directories.

Instructions on checking an MD5 checksum on a Mac OS X:

1. In Finder, browse to /Applications/Utilities.
2. Double-click on the Terminal icon. A Terminal window will appear.
3. In the Terminal window, type: “md5 ” (md5 followed by a space).
4. Drag the downloaded file from the Finder into the Terminal window.
5. Click in the Terminal window, press the Return key, and compare the checksum displayed to the screen to the one you have.

US Holiday Calendar 1.0

I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly forgetting when our US Holidays occur. I work from home so I schedule my days off whenever I need them, (well, honestly every day is a day off if I’m not working on a freelance project), but I’d like to know in advance when the my friends and family are going to have some holiday time to hang out. So, I looked on Apple’s site and I found a US Holiday Calendar for iCal. Stoked. I highly recommend this calendar if you forget when US Holidays are.
